Hello friends. This is the third video in the series exploring anger. So far there has been great support to the Wisdom Wednesday program so I am happy to keep going!
Quite a few of my students tune in for the conversation live... and even more tell me about watching the recording afterwards.
Let me just say... remember that knowledge without attempting to apply it and use it... is wasted knowledge.
It is important to digest the knowledge the is arising in these conversations and try to practice it in dialy life.
When you try to apply it is when you will see some degree of success or change. Slowly over time this cultivates a sense of wisdom.
The sense of wisdom is simply being able to see your challenges that are within you and around you, and know how to work skillfully with them.
When your wisdom sense starts growing... that is the beginning of a peaceful, harmonious life. That is the beginning of aligning with the deeper spiritual principles in the Universe.
Ok in this episode we explore:

> The skill of witnessing
> The skill of transforming energy
These are critical to our goal of self-mastery! But I will leave it to you to connect with the relevance and importance in your own life.
Recap from last week
Ok so let me recap what we have been doing for this month.
We are exploring the topic of anger in our lives. First we examined the inner cause of anger.
When you understand that inner cause of anger then you are better positioned to either diffuse the anger, or to use it wisely in alignment.
Next we spoke about the purpose or role of anger. By understanding the purpose of the anger energy… that positions us well to know if we are using anger unconsciously.
That way we can begin making wise choices about how we engage with the anger energy in our lives.
And of course with that came a few practices. I encouraged you to become more conscious, to begin seeing the play of energy within you, and to begin working in the inner space instead of outer.

What have been your experiences been trying to work at this inner level?
Are you able to see the triggers for anger? Are you able to observe the unmet expectations that are the cause?
What about the purpose of anger? Have you been trying to decode what message the anger is carrying within you?
The reason I ask... is because I know this is a skill… You slowly have to develop it by practicing. If you share with me about it… I can help you to develop the skill faster by giving you some of my own strategies and advice!
Working with energy
To work with energy there are 2 basic abilities we have to develop in ourselves. And for most of you…. You are probably already working on it if you have been interacting with me, studying my material, or taking classes with me.
These are the two basic abilities… I will say a bit about them… and then we will do some simple exercises online that you can follow along with.
The first is the ability to WITNESS or to position as the observer.
By coming into that witnessing state…. You are positioning yourself deep within your being… that you can consciously and proactively deal with what is in your experience.
The second ability is our BREATHING – more specifically… our ability to control energy through our breathing.
Remember that our breath is tied to our energy. Every time we breathe we are influencing and moving the energy that is within us.

I encourage you to work consistently on these two skills.. witnessing, and using the breath to influence the energy.
Everyday you should spend some time working on these two skills in some small way... or even by having a dedicated practice time.
I personally work on this at the start of my meditation practices.
Ok in the next session we really work on the yogic secret to dissolving the anger that you are holding. So far I have been giving you the ability to examine it within yourself and get in the right position to begin dissolving it.
In the video I know that I spoke about compassion for the next session.. but when I actually did the session live something much more powerful came up.
